Take Charge of the Backup Process with Replication
While most organizations invest heavily on protecting their headquarters data, the protection of remote office data is often overlooked. The top reason why remote office data is not protected is because of the lack of budget for remote office hardware and qualified backup administrators. VERITAS Storage Replicator eliminates these backup limitations by efficiently replicating data, either continuously or on a scheduled basis, to a backup server at a centralized location. Once the data arrives at the central location, via an IP connection, backup administrators can perform normal backups as if the data resided in the same data center. The backup administrator can also restore data instantaneously over the wire, without having to rely on remote office personnel to manage and restore data from tape. In addition, VERITAS Storage Replicator can be used to replicate critical files for Windows disaster recovery.
