The new D280 disk subsystem offers lightning speed and

enterprise-class storage solution satisfies the most
demanding requirements for throughput and transaction
processing applications. With the D280's unprecendented
performance, it is the ideal solution for extremely high
I/O applications like ERP, OLTP, web servers and
exchange servers. The D280 also excels in bandwidth
intesive applications like video streaming, medical
imaging and seismic processing. The D280 provides a
full, end to end 2Gb Fibre Channel storage solution that
is supported in all major Windows/UNIX environments. Its
modular architecture and HotScale™ technology enables
online “pay-as-you-grow” scaling to over 32 TB of
storage capacity.
The D280 is the latest high performing disk to be
introduced to StorageTek’s D-Series product portfolio.
The D-Series provides an easy migration path to increase
capacity and performance levels with no costly forklift
upgrades. The D-Series Software Suite provides a
consistent interface, non-disruptive administration and
common features and functionality across all D-Series
solutions. And Remote Volume Mirror, Snapshot Copy and
